My friends and I like the 30-30 best for deer hunting. The best hunting trip this spring for wild turkey was with my daughter Thora who shot a big Rio Grande gobbler with my 257 Weatherby Magnum. My second favorite caliber is a tossup between the 257 Weatherby Magnum and 30-30.

My favorite rifle is everything made by Ruger. My all-time favorite rifle is the Ruger Sporter I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Falconer. My favorite caliber is probably the 257 Weatherby Magnum from Bass Pro Shops in Falconer. I got my Ruger Sporter in the hunting section at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Falconer.
