I picked up my Remington Model 799 in the hunting section at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Shakopee. My admired rifle is my new Remington Model 799 with the birchwood chambered in .303 British and 6mm – 06. One issue with the 6mm – 06 barrel is if you put a scope on you lose your irons, the scope rail runs into the rear sights so they have to come off to use a scope.
