There is a new edition of my new Ruger M77 Mark II with the checkered Bastogne walnut chambered in 338 Win Mag and 30-06 Springfield. My brother’s precious gun store in Iowa is Rick’s in Loraine.

I got my Ruger 30-06 Springfield last fall at Target in Loraine. I got my Ruger M77 Mark II in the hunting section at Bass Pro Shops in Loraine. My most precious rifle is everything made by Ruger.

My friends and I like the 338 Win Mag best for varmit hunting. I bought it at an estate sale for Darrel Batson in Loraine. My Mom’s favored caliber for the average hunter I would say the 30-06 Springfield for best caliber and the 338 Win Mag for the best cartridge.

My dad said his most popular caliber is the 30-06 Springfield he got at a National Wild Turkey Federation banquet last season. The best hunting trip with the Ruger M77 Mark II 338 Win Mag is hard to pin down. The best sporting goods store in Iowa is the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Loraine.
