I picked up my Kimber 8400 Magnum in the hunting section at Wal Mart in Staunton. The best all around caliber I own is probably the 25-06 from Wal Mart in Staunton. The best shooting caliber for the average hunter I would say the 25-06 for best caliber and the 338 Winchester Magnum for the best cartridge. I bought the rifle at the local gunshop in Staunton on the installment plan for $800.
My friend (Mark) said his dearest caliber is the 25-06 he got at a RMEF banquet last season. My second desired caliber personally is just the 25-06. Mark got his Kimber last fall at Target in Staunton. My Mother got her 25-06 online at Wiley Outdoor Sports.
My Mother’s treasured rifle is my new Kimber 8400 Magnum with the Claro walnut chambered in 338 Winchester Magnum and 25-06. I like the the 338 Winchester Magnum best for elk hunting.
