My Mother got her 45-70 online at Wal Mart. One thing I don’t like with the 45-70 barrel is if you put a scope on you lose your irons, the scope rail runs into the rear sights so they have to come off to use a scope. My best friend Nathan says his especial caliber would have to be a 45-70.
I will always remember my choice hunt was when the Gobbler jumped on the back of that Hen decoy just south of Corydon. My dearest general rifle is my Benelli Model R1 in 45-70.
