The best caliber is everything from a 375 H&H Magnum to 300 magnum, 35 Whelen and 357 Magnum. One drawback is that it cannot fire as fast as the 357 Magnum.

My old lady’s esteemed rifle is my new Dakota Model 76 Traveler with the checkered black walnut chambered in 375 H&H Magnum and 357 Magnum. My dad’s favored gun store in Tennessee is Rick’s in Spurgeon. My grandfather bought it at a pawn shop in Spurgeon so I don’t know if Louann would take it back or repair it.
