My friend (Clifford) said his adored caliber is the 44 Magnum he got at a National Rifle Association banquet last season. My desired general rifle is my Model 77 in 44 Magnum. My most cherished rifle is everything made by Ruger. My friends and I like the 545 x 39 mm best for doe hunting.
I got my Ruger 44 Magnum last fall at Dick’s Sporting Goods in St. Marys. A minor problem is if you’re a hunter, the ring or the lanyard on the Model 77 can snag on a branch or even your own clothing and possibly pop your receiver cover off. I used to like a handy checkered birchwood stocked Model 77 for hunting under 200 yards.
